➡️ Why design and use Working time models

Working Time Models offer the company important information on how employees' working time is calculated/allocated per day, e.g. *Regular work, overtime, etc.*, which helps in creating corresponding actions in SOFT1 ERP. Working Time Models are **exclusively linked** to the **Payroll jobs**, they work **in combination** with the [Working Hours](https://wiki.soft1.eu/space/SS5EN/267747329/Working+hours) in the employees' profile. This combination ensures that at the end of each month, various components such as night increments, overtime, additional work, etc., are accurately accumulated for payroll calculation.
Working Time Models are divided into 2 (two) categories:

- the six-day employment, with full contractual hours of 6 hours and 40 minutes per day,
- the five-day employment with full contractual hours of 8 hours per day.

*ℹ️ At the end of the above hours, additional work starts to be calculated. This includes work performed beyond the weekly working hours (40 hours) that have been defined by the contract* and continues until the legal maximum working hours are reached*, i.e. 48 hours for a 6-day employment or 45 hours for a 5-day employment.*
