<span style="color: #000000">According to </span>Α.1061/2022<span style="color: #000000"> and the provisions of article 80 of Law</span> 4819/2021<span style="color: #000000">, from 1 June 2022, a </span><span style="color: #000000">**recycling fee **</span><span style="color: #000000">is imposed on products whose packaging contains polyvinyl chloride (</span><span style="color: #000000">**PVC**</span><span style="color: #000000">) when they are sold at any legal point of sale.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">**Note that:**</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">The payment of the fee is imposed on consumers and is </span><span style="color: #000000">**eight (8) cents **</span><span style="color: #000000">(prior to VAT) per piece of product.</span>
- The amount of the charge shall be indicated clearly and legibly in Sales documents prior to VAT and shall be recorded in the accounting records to be kept by the companies selling these products.
- The companies should submit a payment statement to the tax administration every three months, up to the last day of the month following the related period.
