In SOFT1 ERP you can set auxiliary codes for Stock Items.  Use  **Replaced by** code as a safety net/backup, as if the code is withdrawn, it is automatically replaced by the Item code you have previously set.

**Replaced by codes** can be used in Purchases, Sales (Wholesale – Retail), Stock Management & Service Folders transactions.

> ✅ The 'Replaced by' codes cannot be used in combination with [Alternative – Related Items](https://wiki.soft1.eu/space/SS5EN/189269052/%F0%9F%93%98+Alternative+%E2%80%93+Related+Items) process.
