In the example below, we will convert a Sales Order to a Sales Invoice, in which we will select more than one Lot for the same item line, in order to see the backorder process. In a new Sales  Order , select the  stock item  that is monitored in Lots and fill in the  Quantity.  You will notice that the same Quantity appears as  Not processed . Convert the Order to an  Invoice.  To do so, right-click on the Order (on the documents' List) and select  Conversion . In the dialog that appears, select the  Series  of the document (in our example of the Invoice), to which you want the Order to be converted. Finally, click  Run. In the new Invoice, in order to declare several lots of the same item: right-click on the item line and then click on  Create - select lots,  then select the desired  Quantity  for each  Lot Code, click  OK  to update the  document lines with the Lots and  Save  the Invoice. If you want to select more than one Lot for the same item line, it is better to do it manually through the table, to properly monitor the backorder. Back in the converted Order, you will see that the Invoiced Quantity is displayed as   Processed . In the  Type  of the Invoice, we have selected FIFO (automatic) as the  Consumption mode . However, the manual process of selecting Lots from the table overrides the consumption mode.
