Based on your daily business operations you can **activate**/**deactivate** the application entries/records to achieve the following:

  <span style="color: #339966">✔</span> limit the large volume of entries/records, 

<span style="color: #339966">✔ </span>manage the unused codes.

 <span style="color: #339966">✔ </span>simplify various configuration models (e.g. Document Types/Series etc.)

Activate or deactivate an entry/record whether you want to be displayed or not upon searching in Browsers/Reports.  The inactive entries/records remain in SOFT1 in the form of data but they are no longer available for your daily jobs. 

<span style="color: #172b4d">The </span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Active**</span><span style="color: #172b4d"> [</span><span style="color: #172b4d">**Yes/No**</span><span style="color: #172b4d">] flag is available at:</span>

- Master files/ Objects (e.g. Items, Customers, Fixed Assets, Employees file etc.)
- Browsers/Reports filters
- various Tables (e.g. Commercial category etc.) by setting the **Active **flag to the [**Yes/No**] indication.

<span style="color: #333333">📌Note that:  </span>

- Upon creating a new entry/record (e.g. a new Customer, Supplier, Item etc.) the <**Active**> flag is by default activated.
- SOFT1 Objects (e. g.  Customers, Stock Item), participating in Documents/Transactions, cannot be deleted and the following message is displayed:  *"Deletion is not allowed. * *There are references to this entry from file "Transactions".*
- Inactive entries/records are not displayed upon searching in Reports. Nevertheless, if you directly type the Customer's code, the results regarding the specific customer will be displayed.
