License activation is necessary for the normal & legitimate operation of the application, as well as for its update to newer versions. It is particularly noted that for subscriber type installations (installation using a limited time user license - ASK) license activation is absolutely necessary, even for the basic functions of the application. With regard to indefinite time installations, license activation can be postponed and the installation to function without version upgrade rights.

In case that you have not activated your license, upon logging in the application there shall be display of the following warning message:

In this message, you have to select Activate license in order to run the relative process. The following screen shall be displayed:

**Activate over the Internet**

If you select <Activate over the Internet>, indication "User code" is filled in automatically and upon clicking <OK> the license is activated.

 

**Activate over the telephone**

Contact SoftOne over the telephone – during business hours. State your Serial  number and the key displayed on the screen. Type the User code provided in the relevant field and select <OK> to complete activation.

 

**Activate through  operations (Partners' only)**

In the browser used, open web page [http://operations.softone.gr](http://operations.softone.gr/default.aspx), select ‘’Maintenance’’ and then Maintenance activation.

For indefinite time installations, the field represents the expiration date for the license guarantee. In case there has also been activation of a  New Version Services License for the installation, then the field represents the expiration date of the last New Version Services License. Beyond that date - and if the license is not renewed - the installation shall not be eligible to receive new versions.

 

For subscriber type installations, the field represents the expiration date of the last Limited time license entered with SoftOne. Beyond that date - and if the license is not renewed - the installation shall not be able to perform new entries. In essence the installation shall only function for accessing old entries.
