> ℹ️ - *The item code (primary, alternative, barcode etc..) that you want to use during item search using attributed barcode must be set as a search code in any of the relevant fields of the same Search code page. Additionally, it must have the same length with the number of digits that correspond to a code (C) in barcode format. *

#### ➡️ <span style="color: #0747a6">Special barcodes (weighing)</span>

The special item barcodes used in document lines contain a set of information such as quantity, price and line value, as per which there is automation of the process for the calculation of prices or item quantities in the line. In order to activate the use of special barcodes, follow the procedure described below:

In menu Parameters – Inventory - Parameters, on page Barcode select parameter Activate special Barcodes.

In parameter Prefix enter 2 numerical characters that define the specific coding format. The prefix defines the mode as per which each barcode starting with these particular characters is to be analyzed.

Complete the form as per which barcode is to be analyzed using the following symbols: 

•**C : **Item code

•**Q :** Quantity

•**P : **Item price

•**V : **Value

Note that in the special barcode format you must correlate exactly the length of the item field to be used i.e if item code is a five-digit number, you must enter CCCCC.

In case that the quantity or value originates from the Barcode and needs to be converted to another unit of measurement, you must define the mode of such conversion (division or multiplication), as well as the coefficient in the respective parameters.

> ℹ️ *For registrations – searches using a special barcode, the document line columns must include the search code column. *
