The Profit & Loss refer to the profit or loss arising as a result of the company activity during a specific time period (i.e. accounting fiscal year). It is calculated as the difference between operational income and operational expense for the specific period.

 


 

 

Parameters

In order to display the results you must first configure the aggregators of accounting forms.

In menu Parameters - General Ledger - Reports/Printouts - Accounting statements adders, define the aggregators to be used for the accounting statement.

 

 

Use <New entry> to create an adder and in <Adders calculation method> grid select the group of accounts (or accounts) you wish to include in the statement (define the value collection sources).   

►Info: If you set a primary account the application shall proceed to automatic downstream deployment.

 

 

Following completion of the accounts, in column <Field> you must set the action you wish them to execute, as well as the sign (If you select [Debit] or [Credit], this shall mean debit and credit without cumulatives).

 

When the desired adders are created, you must configure them in the Accounting statements (menu, Parameters - General Ledger - Reports/Printouts - Accounting Statements).

►Info: For the Profit & Loss statement the code of entry in the Accounting statements is [200].

 

 

 

 

 

In the entry, select among the Adders and define the description to be displayed on the printout.

►Info: The order in which you select the adders is the one to be depicted on the printout.

 

Report/Printout

In the printout filters select the following:

-       Fiscal Period: select the period to be printed. The printout shall show the results between the selected period and the previous period.

- From period: select the reference month.

-       To period: select up to the month the transaction balances of which you wish to include.

-       Unadjusted: select [Yes] in case you have not finalized the accounting entries.

-       Types of closing entries: select the document types so as to include transactions performed using them (period closing entries).

- Cost of period sales: enter the cost of sales for the period.

- Cost of previous period sales: enter the cost of sales for the previous period.

  ►Info: The cost of sales can also be set using parameters. The filter – if set - prevails over parameters.
