In this module you have the ability to rung the following jobs that refer to Cost Accounting:

- Update unadjusted entries
- Cancel update of unadjusted entries
- Check chart of accounts
- Exch. rate gains and losses

 

## Update Temporary entries

In Cost Accounting / Jobs / you can find job "Update temporary entries", which finalizes the cost accounting entries.

Select the Official Journal and the dates you wish to finalize and run the job clicking <Run>. 

Once the job is completed the results table is displayed. In order to confirm the successful execution of the job, check whether the entries of the specific dates interval you selected, have received a journal number.

 

## Cancel update of Temporary entries

Using the menu Cost accounting/ Jobs / Cancel update of temporary entries, run the job for canceling entries numbering.

In job Cancel update of temporary entries you must pay special attention to the following:

- Whether there are dates lockups
- The entries journal to select
- The dates interval for canceling finalization
- If there are - for the specific journal and dates interval- any printed official journals

 

After running job cancel update of unadjusted entries, you must correct the Journal number, as well as the date of the last update (finalization) of unadjusted entries. 

Correction is executed through the Journal, Menu Parameters / Cost accounting/ Reports/Printouts/ Official journals. There, you select the Journal for which Cancel update of unadjusted entries was run and correct the Date of last update and the next journal number. 

 

## Check chart of accounts

The purpose of this job is to verify the correctness of your chart of accounts. That is, whether the levels of the accounts posted are in accordance with the format of the chart of accounts you have set in Cost accounting parameters (see Parameters / Cost accounting/ Parameters).

 

## Exch. rate gains and losses

Running this job creates automatically entries containing the exch. rate gains and losses arising from exch. rate differences.
