Documents and Entities are linked through transactions : entries created from the Documents that update the financial data of the Entities. Note that: Transactions are the only way to update the Financial data of modules. The exact type of update effected by a transaction in the Financial data of the entity depends on the type of transaction and, namely, on the parameters contained in this particular type of transaction. Transactions cannot be entered manually: They are automatically created by Documents and specifically by their header and lines. Each central entity has its own transactions to update the Financial data. There are as many Transaction Design jobs as the central entities (Parameters menu → Stock Management Transactions Design, Customers Transactions Design, etc). The particular types of transactions to be generated from each Document (its header and lines) are defined in the Document Type. Create a New Transaction by clicking New entry through Parameters menu → Trading Parties → Customers/ Suppliers/ Debtors/ Creditors → Transactions Design . The type of update (modification) a Transaction makes to an Entity's financial data is defined in Parameters. The Stock Management Transactions Design screen includes:  Code & Description fields and Active flag, Behavior tab, in which you select which data will be effected by Transactions and how, Aggregates tab. Once you have designed the Transaction, you can assign it to the Types of the corresponding Documents. Entity's Financial data is automatically updated by Documents.
