The application provides in the inventory items file twelve (12) alternative wholesale prices and twelve (12) alternative retail prices.  These price lists (term "price zones" is used) may be used as follows:

- Price lists per customer category (pricing category)
- Price lists per branch of your company.

 

## Configuration

► If you wish to change the titles of the fields of alternative prices, select job: Parameters - Inventory - Parameters, area "Alternative sales prices description".

**► Link customer to price zone.**

For the customers for who you wish to set as default any of the alternative items' price, instead of the wholesale or retail price of the item, you must execute the following actions:

- First you must create the customer pricing categories you wish. Pricing categories creation is executed through Parameters -Prices-Pricing categories -Customer pricing categories. To post a new pricing category, select "New entry", fill in the code, the abbreviation and the name you want and select the prices zone (ie which alternative wholesale/retail prices to use in this category).

 

- Then, you must connect the pricing category with the customers that you want to use the alternative prices. The connection of a customer with a pricing category is executed through Customers file, page <Commercial>, area "pricing policies, discount credit notes, agreements "- field "Pricing category".

 

Whether the alternative price shall be set as default in the documents during the selection of a customer with pricing category, depends on the configuration of the document Type and specifically from the "Uses price" parameter, in which you define the price to be proposed in the documents of the specific type.

If you set a document type to "Uses price: Wholesale /Retail", then based on the pricing category the alternative wholesale /retail price shall be proposed.

 

**► Link company branch to price zone.**

In order to connect a of your company with a specific price zone, select Parameters -Companies -Companies. On page <Branches> select the branch you wish and in the "Price zone" field, connect the price zone desired.


 

In the specific branch, the retail/wholesale prices proposed (in documents using wholesale/retail price) shall be the ones contained in the price zone (i.e. alternative 1, 2, etc).

 

**Info:** In case you have set a specific price zone in a branch (i.e. alternative price 01) and you have set a customer with a pricing category with another price zone (i.e. alternative price 02), then customer pricing category shall prevail (alternative price 02 shall be the default).

 

## **Markup & Batch modification of alternative prices.**

In items you can link a specific pricing category where you set the markups of alternative prices. To create an items pricing category, select Parameters -Prices-Pricing policies - Item pricing categories.   Using "New entry" enter the code, the abbreviation and the name you wish and then, enter a specific markup per price. 

 

For batch modification of alternative sales prices use job <Batch modification of prices> (more information in the corresponding chapter).
