Sales, purchases and warehouse  statistics are lists based on the lines of documents from the modules with the same name - i.e. they relate to the lines of Sales, Purchases and Warehouse documents respectively.

The lines of documents (mtrlines) are a very important file with two key features:

1. They contain a wealth of valuable information (for codes, prices, quantities, discounts, values, etc.)
2. They are associated with many important files (Warehouse Items, Trading Partners)

These properties make the lines of documents an ideal basis for reports. Thus, the application offers a "ready" list of these lines, making it easy for the operator to design reports associated to "regional files".

For example, the all-time question "who got what", or "what is sold in what area", etc. is answered by means of Sales Statistics reports.

Three such statistics are offered with the following properties:

- Sales Statistics with data from Sales document lines
- Purchases Statistics with data from Purchases document lines
- Warehouse Statistics with data from Warehouse and Sales and Purchases documents

This means that the Warehouse Statistics are superset statistics comprising both Sales and Purchases data, as well as data from movements  without a trading party (i.e.  [Inventory Documents](https://soft1wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SS5EN/pages/12060249)).

### Advanced

Warehouse Statistics are actually statistics of the entire mtrlines file. Therefore Warehouse statistics include:

- Sales Documents Lines whether they relate to Warehouse Items, Services or Fixed Assets.
- Purchases Documents Lines whether they relate to Warehouse Items, Services or Fixed Assets.
- Warehouse Document Lines
- Composition Document Lines
- Production Document Lines
- Lines of special transactions regardless of the trading party category they concern (lines of special transactions of Customers, Suppliers, Debtors, Creditors, Banking Accounts).

In short, Warehouse Statistics include all categories of documents that are in their lines (details) the indication 51 =  Warehouse Items, 52 = Services, 53 = Debits/Credits, 54 = Fixed assets or other document categories where the second pair of their 4-digit coding has the indications 51, 52, 53, 54.

This means that Warehouse Statistics are a very broad base for statistics (e.g. expenses), provided it is known how to exclude lines from categories of documents not of interest in each case. Here are some tips on how to accomplish this:

### Design Tips

- The field that determines from which categories of documents comes each line is the field <Module>.
- The field that determines the type of the Trading party (i.e. if it is a Customer or Supplier, etc.) is the Trading party type field
- Statistics do not show lines of documents whose Type design does not provide for the creation of warehouse transactions.
- Lines of documents whose Type design provides for the creation of warehouse transactions participate and appear in the Statistics, even if those transactions are designed so as not to result in any impact whatsoever on the economic data of the module to which they refer. That is if the Sales - Order Document creates the warehouse transaction Order which has no setting, then the lines of the Order will be reflected in the Statistics but without quantity and value data.
