## Company Employees

For sales commissions/ bonuses, in company's employees set the Salespersons/ and or the collectors for whom sales commissions/ sales bonus have to be calculated (and/ or their managers).  Defining an employee as salesperson/ collector may be done from the <Properties> grid  in Employees – Identity Tab - by selecting the required properties. The properties which will be selected will appear in <Additional Properties> after Save.

After setting the company's Εmployee as salesperson and/or collector, the rules and conditions for calculating commissions can be defined, in <Commissions> tab.

| **Info**: In case that the calculation is set for a manager, the manager should not necessarily be defined as salesperson or collector (in case he is not). The rules and conditions for calculating Manager's commissions may be defined in the Commissions tab, as described in the following paragraphs of this documentation. |

## Commissions rules definition 

In  <Rule Definition> double click on a grid line.  Here one or more rules based on which the commissions will be calculated may be defined- either for the salesperson/ or for the collector or for their managers. The rules that are set for this calculation apply all simultaneously, e.g. the first rule and the second, and the third etc.  As a result sales commission calculation is the sum of all these rules that apply on each employee per calculation period.

In the rule's fields the calculation paremeters may be set: 

- **Period**: Calculation  period may be defined in this field. Based on the available set up values, the calculation will calculate results: monthly, bimonthly, every three months, quarterly, semi- annually, or yearly (using the 12-month period).

- Using **Selection of data, ** the ability to use the calculation for the following options can apply:
  - For this employee as salesperson, this option will calculate the salesperson's transactions.
  - The subordinate salespersons, will calculate the manager's sales commissions based on his subordinate salespersons transactions.
  - This employee as salesperson + his subordinate salespersons: will calculate the commissions to be paid to the manager, which will include his own transactions and at the same time his subordinates transactions.
  - For this employee as collector, this option will calculate the collector's transactions.
  - His subordinate collectors, will calculate the managers commissions for his subordinate collectors.
  - This employee as collector + his subordinate collectors, will calculate the commissions to be paid to the manager, which will include his own transactions and at the same time his subordinates transactions.

- **Inventory - Services **parameter:  This parameter is used to set whether in this calculation will include either Stock Items, or Services, or Both (Select: N/A in case you wish both Stock Items and Services to be included in this calculation).

- **By Category 1** and **By** **Category 2**: In these parameters 2 options can be set which will apply in combination to one another. Based on them, the climax calculation for the commission rule will be set. These categories will appear in the the 2nd grid in <Rule data> in first and second column respectively, where the climax for the commission will be set, (as shown in the picture below).

Explaining the different options, if  you select:

1. **None**, in this case there will be no parameter based on which the climax for the commissions calculation will be set. This option may be set either in one or in both categories, in case you wish to have one or none parameter based on which the commissions calculation climax will be set.
2. **Commercial Category**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on Item's (and/ or service's) Commercial Category.
3. **Group**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on Item's (and/ or service's) Group.
4. **Business Unit**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on Item's (and/ or service's) Business Unit.
5. **Commission category **, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on Item's (and/ or service's) Commission category
6. **Commercial category (Cust.)**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's Commercial category.
7. **Professional category,  ** in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's professional category.
8. **Geographical area**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's geographical area.
9. **Payment Terms (Cust.),** in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's Payment terms
10. **Business Unit (Cust.)**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's  Business Unit
11. **Commission category (Cust.)**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on customer's commission category
12. **Document Payment**, in this case there will be a climax for the commissions calculation based on the document's payment

 

- **Scaling based on**: in this parameter the option based on which the climax for sales commissions calculation can be set. The values for climax can be set in the second grid <Rule Data> (as shown in the picture below).

1. **Sales Value (-VAT)**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to the Net Sales Value (-VAT)
2. **Sales Value (+VAT)**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to the Net Sales Value (+VAT)
3. **Sales quantity 1**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to Sales Quantity1.
4. **Sales quantity 2**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to Sales Quantity 2.
5. **Collections value (Checks receipt date)**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option will refer to the value of Checks received  based on their reception date. Requires Open Item.
6. **Collections value (Checks due date)**, the climax for the comissions calculation for this option will refer to the value of Checks received  based on their maturity date. Requires Open Item.
7. **Collections value (Checks payment date)**, the climax for the commissions calculation for this option will refer to the value of Checks received  based on their payment date. Requires Open Item.
8. **Collections value from sales value (Checks receipt date), **the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks have been received. Requires Open Item.
9. **Collections value from sales value ** (Checks due date), the climax for the commissions calculation for this option,will refer to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks mature. Requires Open Item.
10. **Collections value from sales value ** (Checks payment date), the climax for the commissions calculation for this option, will refer to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks are paid. Requires Open-Closing Items.

- **Calculation based on**: in this parameter the option based on which the sales commissions calculation will be made can be set.  Explaining the different options, if  you select:

1. **Net Sales Value (-VAT)**, the commissions for this option, will be calculated according  to the Net Sales Value (-VAT)
2. **Gross Sales Value (+VAT)**, the commissions  for this option, will be calculated according to the Net Sales Value (+VAT)
3. **Sales quantity 1**, the commissions  for this option, will be calculated according to Sales Quantity1.
4. **Sales quantity 2**, the commissions for this option, will be calculated according to Sales Quantity 2.
5. **Collections value (Checks receipt date)**, the commissions for this option will be calculated according to the value of Checks received  based on their reception date.
6. **Collections value (Checks due date)**, the comissions for this option will be calculated according to the value of Checks received  based on their maturity date. Requires Open- Closing Items.
7. **Collections value (Checks payment date)**, the comissions for this option will be calculated according to the value of Checks received  based on their payment date. Requires Open- Closing Items.
8. **Collected sales value (Checks receipt date)**,the comissions for this option will be calculated according to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks have been received. Requires Open- Closing Items. Requires Open- Closing Items.
9. **Collected sales value  ** (Checks due date), the comissions for this option will be calculated according to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks mature.  Requires Open- Closing Items.
10. **Collected sales value ** (Checks payment date), the comissions for this option will be calculated according to the collections value, based on sales value and according to the date the checks are paid.  Requires Open- Closing Items.

- **Calculation Type:** here is defined whether the calculation is Direct calculation or uses Scaling. In these options : **Direct on redemption Unit** or **Scaling on redemption Unit, **are also available.

 

- **Payment days effect:** This parameter is activated for specific combination of the previous parameters which have been previously described in this document. Specifically the parameters options combination which allows for Due dates to be included in Sales Commissions calculation is:

- Category 1 & Category 2 : None
- Calculation based on: In this parameter an option has to be selected from the ones which include the phrase:  Collected Sales Value

Explaining the different options, if  you select:

- **No**: this option will mean that the due dates will not affect the commissions calculation
- **Based on document date**: this option will mean that the due dates will affect the commission calculation based on the invoice date
- **Based on document settlement date**: this option will mean that the due dates will affect the commission calculation based on settlement dates
