The logic of the mechanism for the creation of accounting entries using Commercial Management documents ("Bridge") is as follows:

Each Commercial Management document, of any category (Purchase, Sale, Collection, Remittance, etc.) must be able - if required - to create one (or more) entries in Accounting.

The exact formation of the entry, the accounts participating in such entries produced depend on the various logic parameters.

In order to specify these parameters, all elements in Commercial management that may relate to updating Accounting, is labeled and recorded in special fields that are found in almost all modules or sub-modules of Commercial Management and are indicated as "Account". Such fields are found in Inventory Items, Trading parties, Document types, VAT rates, Branches, Payment Methods, etc.).

Thus, fields marked "Account" (an indication often abbreviated - i.e.Acc. - and even more often periphrastic - i.e. Purchase account, Prediction Account, etc.) are aimed to describe the relationship of the entry with accountings. Specifically, the entries set in fields "Account" of the various records of Commercial Management correspond to a particular code or specific code segment of the Chart of accounts.

Given the above, when designing a "link" what we do is "explaining" to the program how to compose the various "Account" indications affixed to the various fields in Commercial Management so that the resulting composition (which is performed during the Accountings update job) results to account codes which are to be updated depending on the case.

In the type of each document (Purchase, Sale, Expense), in the specific update date, there is a respective link connecting the document with General ledger or Revenue/Expenses.
