The specifications for each bill of materials determine the quantitative ratio of the components and the validity - for example in cases it is created to meet seasonal needs or offers with a specific duration. Specifically: 🌀 Easy management of complex material transactions, using various automations during their use in transactions and shipments. 🌀 Ability to create Item Sets and Items-Services Sets (Services module is required). 🌀 Complete monitoring of costs during their composition while creating automatically Composition or Decomposition Documents during their shipment. 🌀 Ability to create Items Sets and Items-Services Sets, allowing companies to adopt their offers to their customers needs, offering integrated solutions that combine products and services. 🌀 Stock Management-Inventory module is required. ### Configuration #### **Inventory parameters ** The inventory parameters specify whether to perform a check concerning the ending date of the Set. If you select "Yes" in "Price from group set (mandatory)" parameter, then during the automatic item substitution on the document there shall be application of the prices and discounts entered in the set.    ![image](media://bb056086-dd86-4886-8eca-060c80d32c30)   #### **Composition Documents** The composition documents are used for the consumption of quantities of composite item components and respectively, for the creation of the balance of the composited item. Essentially, the posting of a composition document leads to the increase of the quantities and values of the item found in the header and the respective reduction (consumption) of the quantities and values of items in the lines. It is mainly used for cases in which i.e. there is purchase of item components but the item is sold as a set. Composition documents can be entered either directly into the system or indirectly, arising as a result of purchases /sales /warehouse documents. (see Automatic composition documents creation). Concerning the design of composition documents in the text: Inventory parameters. #### **Automatic composition documents creation. ** If you want the item composition documents to be created automatically: - The composed item must not be automatically replaced by its components in the particular Type of document. - For the constant fields of the composed item, parameter "Automatic composition" must be set to "Yes". - The document Series must support composition (on special data page, field "Composition" must have one of the values "Yes (automatic) / With question Yes - no " and, the document Series must also be defined. - The date of the document must be within the time period of duration of the Set. ► **Info:**  The composition documents resulting from indirect posting can not be erased. #### **Automatic substitution of composite item in document lines ** In order to substitute a composite item with its components, as soon as it is called in the document lines: - It must be correlated with the composition specification according to which it is composed (page item -field "Item sets"). - Depending on the case, parameter "Replace set with composite items in: Warehouse / purchases / sales" must be enabled in item . - In addition and strictly for purchases / sales documents and depending on the case, the specific parameter must be enabled in the documents type.   **► Info:**  In documents' type, option "Automatic set analysis" means that though a set is posted in an initial document, this set/s shall be replaced upon transformation to a document including the above option. This option ignores Backorder (pending).    ### Operation #### **Creation of Item Sets ** In order to create a composition (Set) specification for an item, the item must be posted in the inventory and then used it in the set header. In the specifications lines, you can define the items that compose the item, as well as the prices and discounts to be offered in case the item is automatically substituted by its components in the inventory /purchase / sales documents.
