| **In line ** | - **Set Yes **to perform stock control **when inserting Item lines** (i.e. when an Item is selected or modified in the Doc).

| **Formula** | → Refers to a **numerical formula** (hyperlink ***Formula***) which defines **how Balance Control is performed.**
- **Default**: `BL` (Current balance).
- **RM** indications: Refer to outstanding stock quantities *(e.g. orders)*. You can select from various Expression terms such as *Reserved from Sales orders*`(BL - RM2).`
- Formula should have the following form:
**[Numeric Type] - [Line Quantity] > 0. **If the result is **< 0**, a message (Warning or Prohibition) will be displayed. | → Works combined with **Behavior **and **In line **parameters.

| **Alert Behavior ** | Select the type of message **(Alert Behavior)** that will be displayed when the quantity of each line in Doc **does not meet the stock control **set in **Behavior**.
- **No check**: No stock control is performed upon saving the Doc.
- **Warning**: A message is displayed, but the Doc can still be saved.

- **Prohibition**: A message is displayed and Doc cannot be saved.

- **Question**: A message is displayed including a question on whether or not you will save the Doc (**Yes/No).** | → If **Balance Control** is activated **In Line**,** Messages **will be displayed **when inserting each Item line** (i.e. when an Item is selected or modified in the Doc).

| **Per W/h** | Select the Stock Control Level:
- **At Item level:** Check Item balance in all W/hs.
- **At Item - W/h level: **Check balance in W/h, in Doc or lines.
- **At Item - W/h Group level:** Check balance in W/h Group of the selected W/hs in Doc or lines.

| **Special ** | Special Stock Controls are performed if **In line** flag **is activated** in Doc Type.
- **Lot**: A message is displayed if lot stock is exceeded.
- **Storage bin**: A message is displayed if storage bin stock is exceeded.
- **Business Unit**: A message is displayed if business unit stock is exceeded.
- **Project**: A message is displayed if project stock is exceeded.
- **Storage Bin and Lot **(Combined control) | → Special controls prevail over Basic controls, *e.g. Stock Control *at Item - W/h level.
→ For Storage bins, Business unit or Projects, the corresponding flags should be activated in Stock Management parameters *(Properties tab → Document Line Controls).*

| **Per Variation** | Select whether Stock Control will be performed if variation quantity (e.g. color - size) is not available in stock.
A message is displayed:
- Either upon selecting another line,* e.g. ATTENTION! Stock limit exceeded Item: 100003390 - Available Qty, Colour: Black Size: Small,*
- Either upon saving the Doc: *ATTENTION! Insufficient stock balance for certain items in the document Item: 100003390 Oversized cotton sweatshirt (colour-size) Colour: Black Size: Small.* | → Per Variation control prevails over Basic Stock Control, *e.g. Stock Control at Item level.*
*In this example, the selected quantity is 3000 pieces, but the available balance for the Color Black (02) and Size S is only 100 pieces, as shown in the variations analysis.* |
