<span style="color: #333399">**General Settings **</span>

**General Settings** apply on mobile/tablet devices individually/locally.   
Use General Settings to edit your menu according to your job priorities or preferences. Manage your scanner devices, box numbering during the Sales Packing process.

See below how you can utilize SOFT1** WMS Lite **General Settings.

  


  


> Macro (ui-expand)
> 
> Set the line height according to the text/words size. For example, if you wish to display multiple items on the screen including different-size descriptions, set respectively the height using the slider.
> 
> - **Number spinner:** select to show + / - symbols on item's line.
> - **Max lines of Name:** Select, from the available scale (Auto/ 1-5), the number of lines displayed in WMS screens for item's description, e.g. if value 2 has been set and the item's description exceeds the 2 lines, then at the end of the second line the (...) will be displayed indicating that the description is larger than two lines.
> - **Picking /Packing lists: **Edit lines height for picking/packing process.
> - **Other Lists:** Edit lines height for stock-taking, receiving process etc.

> <span style="color: #333333">To edit SOFT1 WMS Lite main menu, work as follows: </span>
> 
> - use drag & drop, to prioritize the display of your daily jobs on your screen,

> - tap on
>   and then select the desirable job to restore its initial/ original title
> - tap on
>   and <Select all> to automatically restore the title of all jobs.
> - at
>   ,  set which fields will be visible on item's line when the specific item is selected at a certain job.<span style="color: #172b4d"> </span>

> **Note that:**

> - If you prioritize the display of fields, then while you are working on a certain job, e.g. Sales Orders, slide the stock item line from right to left and tap on
>   to view the results.

> - Each job e.g. Sales Orders, uses the Column design found at Screen form set at Mobile WMS Parameters in SOFT1.

> If you are using Honeywell EDA, Zebra, Datalogic tablet barcode scanner you will find the<span style="color: #000000"> </span><span style="color: #003366">**Scanner**</span><span style="color: #003366"> </span><span style="color: #000000">option available in the Settings. In case of losing focus while working in your tablet/mobile device, switch between options eg </span>Zebra ,to reset focus.

> **Camera:** Activate this option to scan the item barcodes using your phone/tablet camera.

> Auto number of boxes: Activate this parameter, upon starting the Sales Packing process, to automatically number boxes (using 1,2,3 format). Click 'Close box' to complete the process. > Activate this parameter, if you wish to set one of the available themes as your wallpaper background.

> **Search in Lists: **Activate this parameter to search an Item in a SOFT1 Browser/List which has been set at SOFT1 Mobile WMS Parameters. 💡Searching is performed for string data type.

> **Lock Time: **Activate** **to set and 'lock' the required time frame to execute/process an order. For example, set 30 minutes at Lock Time. Pick a certain Purchase order to process. During this time no one can process this order but you. Once the lock time passes, the specific order will be again available to all users.

> **💡Note that: **
> 
> - <span style="color: #242424">The following message is displayed to other users while a Lock Time has been set: </span><span style="color: #242424">*'The document is locked for editing by another user'*</span>
> - <span style="color: #242424">The Lock Time minutes must be same to all devices.</span>

  


### <span style="color: #0000ff">Printer settings</span>

> 
> Set your Bluetooth printer (Zebra, Bixolon) to print item labels by exclusively using Internal Printout Forms designed in SOFT1.

> The printers paired with the phone/ tablet device are displayed.

> 
> Select one of the Internal Printout Forms designed in SOFT1.

> 
> For physical printers Wi-Fi is required. At SOFT1 Portal → Common area → WMS Lite, the **S1PrintDeamon** is available, which includes all required files in order to be able to print. This can be achieved in two (2) ways:
> 
> - <span style="color: #ff6600">**Dll - (Login to SOFT1 as Administrator)**</span>  
> Inside DLL folder, **S1PrintDaemon_command.txt **and **S1PrintDaemon.dll** file is included, which should be downloaded and placed in SOFT1 folder.
> 
> Create a new SOFT1 job (right-click on user/group menu) and set the following:
> 
> - Job type: Dll Form
> - Command/File :  .S1PrintDaemon.dll;printmanager
> - Set a name e.g. printmanager
> 
> At SOFT1 WMS Lite (Printer Settings), set the Listener IP address and Port. Click **Test **to confirm the communication between your tablet/phone and the Listener. The tablet/phone, sends the document (FINDOC) to the listener for printing.
> 
> - <span style="color: #ff6600">**Exe - (No login to SOFT1 is required)**</span>  
> Inside Exe folder the **S1PrintDaemon.exe **is included. Listener runs as an .exe file and this way the tablet/phone sends the documents for printing.

> - **Printer IP/ Printer Port: **Set the Listener** **IP and Port.

  


### <span style="color: #0000ff">Stock Mgmt./ Purchases/ Sales</span>

The following **Settings **apply exclusively to Stock Mgmt./ Purchases/ Sales and are common for all. They are set individually though for each job.  
You may find them either by:

1. Clicking> Macro (inline-media-image)

, from SOFT1 WMS Lite main screen or
2. Clicking > Macro (inline-media-image)

 , while operating /working at a WMS job, eg at Sales Orders.

  


> Macro (ui-expand)
> 
> Set SOFT1 WMS Lite behavior when the <u>same </u>item participates in a document multiple times: 
> 
> - **No action: **as many times you** **scan the item** **such lines will be displayed.
> - **Warning & Insert: **the following message is displayed:** **'*Item already exists in the document. Insert*?' Notifies the user that the items already exist in the document and if  nevertheless wants to add it in the document.
> - **Warning & Merge: **the following message is displayed '*Item already exists in the document. Insert*?*'. *This way, the items will be merged in the same line.
> - **Prohibition**: the following message is displayed '*Item already exists in the document. Cannot insert*.'.
> - **Merge**: The items will be auto merged in the same line.

> Set SOFT1 **WMS Lite **behavior upon searching an item.
> 
> - **Focus on Item search:** Upon searching an item, the specific item will be highlighted/ marked on header.
> - **Focus on Qty:** Upon searching an item, the quantity will be highlighted/marked.
> - **Open Line:** Upon searching an item, a pop-up screen automatically opens to add or/and modify the item's data, e.g. insert lot, comment etc.

> Set SOFT1 **WMS Lite **behavior** **in case of insufficient stock balance.
> 
> - **Never: **Do not notify the user for insufficient balance.
> - **On item line: **The user will be notified for insufficient balance in case a warning for insufficient balance has been previously set in SOFT1. (Doc Type setup > tab Stock > Basic Stock Control options)

> 
> Set what the user can perform when scanning/using items monitored in SN.
> 
> - **Select** any of the existing/ available SNs for the Item.
> - **Create **new SNs.

> 
> Set SOFT1 **WMS Lite **behavior in case the user deletes a line while operating e.g. in Sales Orders.
> 
> - **Allowed**: The user is allowed to delete the line.
> - **Warning**: A warning message is displayed: '*Delete line; Cancel / ΟΚ*'.
> - **Prohibition**: The user is not allowed to delete the line.

  


> Macro (ui-expand)
> 
> Activate this parameter in case you need to know from which barcode each document line has resulted. Select Comment 1, 2 to automatically save the information in each document line. For example, if the user scans an alternative code the specific code will be displayed in Comment field.

> Once an entry is completed (item, customer, document, etc.), either the form is “cleared” to enter a new entry, or the data will remain on form as they were during posting.

> 
> Activate whether you need to play an error sound for wrong actions, e.g. when the item is not found upon scanning. A sound is activated in phone/ tablet in case the user sets greater quantity than the initial one upon Picking & Packing process. A Warning, Prohibition, or Indifferent type of message is displayed.

> 
> The specific parameter applies to Picking & Packing processes. Activate whether you need to transfer the prices and discounts of initial order to the new document maintaining the prices of the picking documents as it has been previously created as an order.

> Set SOFT1 **WMS Lite **behavior, e.g. upon changing/modifying the quantity of an order.
> 
> - **Allowed: **The user is allowed to change/modify the order's qty. A respective color indicates the excess of qty.
> - **Warning: **A warning message is displayed '*Excess of allowed Qty. Proceed?.*'
> - **Prohibition: **A prohibition message is displayed '*Excess of allowed  Qty. Cannot insert.*'.

> 
> Set SOFT1** WMS Lite **behavior** **upon inserting new items in orders picking process.
> 
> - **Allowed: **The user is allowed to insert new item.
> - **Warning: **A warning message is displayed '*Item is not currently in the list. Insert?*;'
> - **Prohibition: **A prohibition message is displayed *'Item is not currently in the list. Cannot insert.*

  


> Macro (ui-expand)
> 
> The specific parameter applies to Picking & Packing processes. Activate whether you need to 'break'/ 'split' an order in multiple lines. For example, if your order includes 10 items monitored in lots, then 7 of them monitored in Lot A will be included in one line and the rest 3 monitored in Lot B will be included in the other line. Same applies for multiple/different W/Hs.

> 
> Activate whether you need to set the item's storage bin, without opening its card. E.g. while working in Stocktaking simply tap a line and slide from left to right. Click on> Macro (inline-media-image)
> 
>  to set the storage bin. Otherwise, double-click on item and set the storage bin in the respective field.

> 
> Activate whether you need to keep the same storage bin set for previous items, e.g. while working in Stocktaking.

> Activate whether you need to get notified about the exact storage bin/shelf of the available stock balance upon Sales Picking process.

> 
> Activate whether you need to print labels in Bluetooth printer for each line of document.

> Activate whether you need to print your documents in network printers after saving/posting each document. If 'Yes' is set, the tablet/phone informs/sends command to the Listener to print by displaying the available printers. Each printing command is sent <span style="color: #172b4d">from WMS Lite to the Listener, </span>via <span style="color: #172b4d">WI-FI.</span>

> Select the printout form designed in SOFT1 to print your documents.
