Decimals are a key factor for the very first stage of configuration in Soft1, as prices, cost, values, and quantities in documents/ financial reports are directly affected by their numbers.
They can be set/ configured in:
- The Units of Measurement (Parameters > Companies > Other Settings > Units of Measurement),
- The Currency (Parameters > Companies > Currency) and
- The Companies (Parameters > Companies).
Avoid possible result distortions that could occur later, by setting up the Decimals, prior to any documents/ transactions' posting in Soft1.

Documents display
The Decimals, configured through Units of Measurement, are displayed in Documents quantity data.
Configuration
Fill in the field "Decimals" in Units of Measurement (Parameters > Companies > Other Settings > Units of Measurement).
You might need to re-login to have some parameters features enabled/ activated.
Documents display
The Decimals, configured through Currencies, are displayed in Price and Value (Document fields).
Configuration
Fill in the "Decimals in Prices" and "Decimals in Values" fields by clicking on the "Currency" through Companies (Parameters > Companies > Currency). Press "Save".

Financial reports
The Decimals, configured through Company data, are displayed in Quantity, Cost and Value columns of the Financial reports (e.g. Stock Opening Balances).
Configuration
In Company setup fill in the Special data/ Decimals area (Parameters > Companies).
Define equal or bigger decimal places than those defined in Currency, to avoid differences in Financial Reports and Stock Item Reports, due rounding.
You might need to re-login to have some parameters features enabled/ activated.
Through System Settings you can customize the <Numbers format> i.e. to select how the arithmetic/ numeric fields and their decimals will be displayed.
Select:
- System default, so as the arithmetic data being displayed based on the regional settings (Control Panel) of your desktop,
- any other option (e.g. 9999999.00), so as the numeric data is displayed based on the selected format.
The <Numbers format> setting is only about the display of the numeric fields in Soft1. Any collection of information in database depends on the UoM, Currency and Company data configuration.
Make sure that you have set the maximum required decimal places through Regional Settings (Control Panel) of your Workstation, so as to have a proper display.
